I am
Unity with the Father
«My Father is he whom men call God, but I know my Father, and men do not know their God.» My father and your father are one. “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.” “I and my father are one.”
One Father created us all to live and move and have our being in Him alone. Who then is this ONE who unites us? The one thing that unites all men is that all men know that they are. This affirmation that we are, this awareness, is our Father.
The Inevitability of Presence
There is no place a person can go and not know that they are. “If I take the wings of the morning and fly to the farthest corners of the earth, you are there,” I know that I am.
“If I make my bed in Hell” — I know that I AM. If I suffer from amnesia and completely forget my human identity, I will still know that I AM. It is impossible for a human to know that he is not. You can say that I AM NOT, but you cannot say that I AM NOT, because your very knowledge is a declaration that you are.
Consciousness as the Creator of Form
So whether you call yourself that or not, you are actually claiming that you are. So, man always says that I AM. This knowledge that we are, this awareness is God the Father. The moment this unconditioned awareness is fixed by calling itself this or that, differentiation takes place in this formless awareness, and our impersonal Father (our true self) becomes personified as what we have imagined ourselves to be.
This impersonal presence can be compared to space, for space, though formless, gives form to everything. If formless space were removed from the book you read, the body you carry, the ground you stand on, everything would disappear.
Consciousness, though formless, gives form to what it consciously is, but the moment you withdraw your formless reality or consciousness from your self-concept (the form you wear), that concept disappears. The concept remains a formed reality only as long as the invisible reality wears it.
Spiritual Distillation
“My Father is Spirit (Formless), and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.” “I and my Father are one.” My awareness of being is the formless Father, who gives form to what I am aware of as being, and thus loses his formless, nameless presence in the form and nature of his self-concept.
Just as water loses its identity when mixed with things but remains untainted when extracted through distillation, so the awareness of nothingness is lost in the things-concepts of itself and remains its unblemished self through spiritual distillation. You spiritually extract yourself or extract yourself from your concept of yourself when you cease to identify with it.
Return to the Eternal Now
Now that you have found this Father as your Father, the Eternal Now, I, do not return to the prodigal state to beg for the crumbs of life. Remember your Father, the NOW, the only reality.
Accept yourself now, in this moment, to be who you desire to be, and no matter what you claim for yourself—your Father, the awareness that is Now will give it to you by becoming the one who is taken, but you must ask for it in this way.
The Relationship Between Awareness and Intention
Be conscious of what you are asking for. No longer seek your Father in time and space, for your Father is the awareness that is now. “I and my Father are one, but my Father is greater than I.”
My awareness and that which I Awareness is one, but I am Higher than that which I AM, that which I AM. The Ideator will always be greater than his conception. The Father (Consciousness) is greater than his SON (the conception of himself).
Now your eyes are open. Your Father, Almighty God, has been revealed to you as your awareness of being.
I CAME WITH A SWORD
Destroying illusions and attachments
Before you can enter that world that is beyond all understanding, you must first be destroyed from all the illusions that now enslave you—the illusions of separation.
If you are identified by race, creed, or skin color and you hear what you are identified with, criticized, and condemned, you will automatically be wounded by that criticism. Every attachment is a bar in your own prison. Your only way out is to be free from attachment. You must leave everything and follow me. In Christ there is no Greek, no Jewish bond, no freedom.
Your current attachments are rooted in you because of your current self-image. Your self-image is the measuring stick by which you measure the world.
The Law of Self-Perception
Everything is valued in relation to your current self-image. Each person's self-image is a bright note in the Cosmic Symphony, which automatically determines the value of all notes in relation to themselves.
Change your self-image. Reevaluate yourself and you will automatically change your world. Man has always played a losing game, trying to change his world while remaining stuck with his current values or self-image.
Jesus discovered this law. So instead of changing people, he changed himself. He said, «And now I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified through the truth.» He found himself the truth of everything he saw his world through.
Consciousness as truth
Truth is the sword that kills all except itself, and I AM (your awareness) is the truth. So to identify with anything other than being is to be a slave or limited by that with which you identify.
You are forever objectifying what you are aware of, so you are forever moving in a world that is a perfect personification of what you know yourself to be.
“To the pure all things are pure.” This is a great obstacle to those who are constantly condemning the world. “Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
The inner cause of the world
It is recorded that the crowds deserted Jesus when He revealed the law in these words: «No one comes to Me except the Father who draws him.» And, «I and My Father are one.» They could not believe that they had caused the world to be what it was. Thousands of years later, it is still a great obstacle to all who see the world as something that can be changed from the outside.
You and your self-image are one. Your self-image is the image you have created of your Father. This image shapes your world in your image, whether good, bad, or indifferent. Your Father is your awareness, which limits you to what you are aware of being.
The path to change
If you want to change your world, do it in reality, knowing that you are what you see it to be. You are not who you are because of anything in the world, on the contrary, the world is what it is because of who you are; WHAT is the measure or value you have imposed on yourself.
In short, your self-image is the form that the creator (your true self) uses to populate your world. Begin to change the world by proclaiming yourself as the person you wish to see expressed in the world. Follow the example of Jesus, who made himself one with God and did not consider it strange or robber to do God’s work.
Freedom through non-identification
Freedom is not gained by the sweat of your brow. Stop fighting the world, it is only a reflector. Jacob was only freed when he let go of what he was fighting. Similarly, you will only be free when you follow his example and lose your problem without identifying with it. For what is bound in heaven (Consciousness) is bound on earth, and what is loosed in heaven is loosed on earth.
“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” “I AM the truth.” So, to truly know yourself as conditioned is to be free from what you blindly thought you were. Leave everything behind and just be YOURSELF.
FIRST STONE
Searching for the cause and whereabouts of God
“Seek ye the kingdom of heaven, and all things shall be added unto you.” Find the cause of things, and ye shall find the secret of creation. You have heard that it is said, «In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,» that «all things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.» No one questions the truth of this statement, but what is desired to know is, «Who is God, and where is God?»
In response to the one to whom you are told, «I AM God, I AM the Lord, I AM. I have sent me (the man Moses) to you.» As to the place of God’s abode, you are told, «The kingdom of God is within you.» These two responses define God as your awareness of being and place him where you are aware of being. Awareness of being is to silently declare, «I AM.» As you read this page, you are aware of what is. This awareness, this awareness of being, is God the creator.
Awareness is that formless depth in which all things live, move, and have their being, and apart from which things have no reality. This is the secret of the statement: "Before Abraham was, I AM, I AM, and when all things cease to be, I AM."«
Consciousness as Creator and Ideator
The awareness of being precedes all ideas about itself and remains the formless "I" when all its ideas cease to exist. The Creator must precede creation, just as the thinker precedes his ideas. Creation begins and ends in the Creator.
Consciousness is the secret of all manifestation. Every creation goes through three stages of its unfoldment: conception, crucifixion, and resurrection. Ideas, desires, ambitions are all ideas moving within the immobile being, the I AM. Consciousness is the Father, and all ideas of self are children bearing witness to their Father. So, «I and my Father are one, but my Father is greater than I»—the thinker and the conception are one, but the thinker is greater than his conception.
The conditioning of the unconditional and the process of embodiment
Awareness is unconditional. Awareness that you are something or someone is the conditioning of the unconditional. That which is determined is less than determined. Awareness of being is Almighty God, the Eternal Father, on whose shoulders rests the power of the world. Awareness supports and governs all that it is aware of.
The consciousness of being is an eternal womb, impregnating itself through the medium of desire. To be conscious of an urge or desire is to become pregnant. To believe, feeling that you (the Formless One) are what you desire, is to be crucified on the form of what you feel. To continue to believe, feeling that you are now what you desire, until all doubt is gone and a deep conviction is born that you are, is to resurrect or rise clearly to the expression of the nature of what is felt.
Resurrection of the new "I"«
At this very moment you are resurrecting or expressing that which you realize you are. “I AM the resurrection and the life.” I NOW transcend the world around me as the living reality of what I now realize I am, and will continue to do so until I change my perception of myself. So your answer in consciousness to the eternal question of WHO I AM will define your world and every manifestation of it. Begin to realize now that I AM the Lord God Almighty and there is no other God besides ME (your awareness).
It is not I, John Doe, who is God, but I AM, the awareness of being, that is God. John Doe is only his present limitation or idea of himself. I am the limitless expression through the limited idea of myself. To change the expression, change the idea of yourself, but do it with truth, not words. That is, to completely withdraw attention from the present limitation and focus it on the new idea until awareness, your true essence, is lost in the belief or conviction that I AM, that I AM.
This is the re-clothing or rebirth of your formless, nameless self. Your true self is the self that no one sees, and that does not see itself, but only its own idea of itself. In the beginning, now at this moment, an idea or desire floats in your consciousness, seeking embodiment. Before the desire can be fulfilled or resurrected, it must become a cross or a fixed point to which consciousness is nailed.
Awareness is the only living reality, the only resurrecting force. So to revive my desire, I must consciously realize that I am what is desired. “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters.” In the midst of the water of formless awareness, let there be a firmament or conviction that I am what is desired. Continue to stand on that conviction or cross, and in ways unknown to you as a human being, you will realize or resurrect your desire.
The only reason and force
Life or awareness has ways that man (concept) does not know of its ways, already beyond knowing. Life's modern conception of itself as man is a mask it wears. In this being that you think you are, is your nameless self. The basis of all expression is consciousness and other foundations that no man can lay.
No matter how hard man tries, he cannot find any other cause of manifestation than God—his consciousness of being. Man thinks he has found the cause of disease in microbes; the cause of war in conflicting political ideologies and greed. All such discoveries of man, counted as the essence of wisdom, are foolishness in the eyes of God. There is only one power, and that power is God (Consciousness). It kills, revives, wounds, heals, does everything good, bad, or indifferent.
The world as a mirror of consciousness
A prisoner must have a jailer, a slave a master. A nation that feels imprisoned will automatically create a dictator. You cannot destroy a tyrant by destroying him, any more than you can destroy your reflection by destroying a mirror. The consciousness of a nation produces its leaders. What is true of a nation is true of the individual, for nations are made up of individuals.
Man moves in a world that is nothing more and nothing less than the objectification of his consciousness. Without knowing it, he struggles with his reflections, preserving the light and the images that reject them. “I AM the light of the world.” I AM (consciousness is light). What I am aware of myself as (my self-image), for example, I am rich, I am healthy, I am free, are images. The world is a mirror that reinforces everything that I AM, consciously what is. Stop trying to change the world, it is only a mirror that shows who you are.
Practical instructions for changes
A person who is conscious of his freedom or imprisonment expresses what he is conscious of. I don't care what men diagnosed your problem. The problem may have a long history, but I know it will disappear in an instant if you faithfully follow this instruction.
- Ask yourself this simple question: How would I feel if I were free? The moment you sincerely ask this question, the answer comes.
- Find your own feeling: No man can tell another how he would feel if his wish were suddenly granted. But everyone knew that he himself felt it, for such a feeling would be automatic. The feeling or excitement that arises in response to self-questioning is the state of consciousness of the Father or the Foundation Stone.
- Put on a new condition: Make the new feeling natural by wearing it. You have to wear this feeling until it becomes your nature. This could take a minute or a year—it's entirely up to you.
Overcoming doubts
When you ask yourself, «How would I feel if my wish came true right now?» the automatic response is so new that it feels like it’s not yours, that it’s not true. So you instantly put aside this new state of consciousness and go right back to your problem because it feels more natural.
Not knowing that consciousness ever surpasses itself in the conditions around you—you, like Lot’s wife, look back at your problem and are once again hypnotized by its naturalness. Do you not hear the words of Jesus (salvation)? “Leave all and follow me—let the dead bury their own dead.”
Your problem may be so hypnotized by the seeming reality and naturalness of it that it is difficult for you to bear the new feeling or consciousness of your savior, but you must bear it if you want to get results. The stone (Consciousness) that the builders rejected (did not want to bear) is the chief cornerstone and other foundations that no man can lay.
IMPRESSION
Current status
Every experience should be a confirmation of what is to be. To say that I will be great or that I will be free is to admit that I am not great and I am not free. To see myself becoming something is to know that I am not.
To be impressed is to be in the first person, present tense. All expressions are the result of Im-pressions. Only when I can think of myself as what I want to be will I make such statements. Let all your desires be impressions of what is, not of what should be. For I (your awareness) is God, and God is the fullness of all, the Eternal NOW-I-I-I.
Signs and time of salvation
Signs follow, but do not precede. You will never see the signs of what is. Do not think about tomorrow, for your impressions are an expression of the impressions of today. “Now is the accepted time. The kingdom of heaven is at hand.»
Jesus (salvation) said, "I am with you always." Your awareness is the savior who is always with you. But if you deny him, he will deny you. You deny him by claiming that he will appear, as they do today when they claim that salvation will come, and this claim is equivalent to saying, "We are not saved." You must stop looking for your savior and declare that you are saved now, and the signs of your claims will follow.
Recognizing the essence: The widow's lesson
When the widow was asked, «What did she have in her house?» now her statement about three drops of oil, not empty measures, was an acknowledgment of essence. Three drops become a fountain if you take them. For your awareness amplifies whatever it is aware of.
To claim that I will have oil (Joy) is to admit that I have empty measures, which the awareness of lack generates. God, your awareness, does not respect people and can only express what impresses it.
Desire as the voice of God
Every desire you have is determined by your need. Desires arise automatically. Knowing that you are aware of this desire and that your awareness is God, you should look at every desire as the spoken words of God telling you what is.
“Turn away from the gaze of the man whose breath is in his nostrils,” for he sees his desire as that which is not. We will always be what we (realize) — so never again will I pretend, I will be this. Let all statements henceforth be — «I Am, that I Am.».
Letting in the Savior
“Before they ask, I have already answered.” Before you have time to think, the solution to your problem appears in the form of your desire. The blind, the lame, the halt—all automatically desire freedom from limitations. Man is so trained in the belief that his desires are something to be fought for that in his ignorance he refuses his savior who is constantly knocking at the door of consciousness (I AM the Door) to be let in.
Will not your desire, if fulfilled, save you from the problem? To let your savior in is the easiest thing in the world. Things must be in order to be let in. You are conscious of desire, therefore that is what you are conscious of now. Your desire, though invisible, must be affirmed by you as something real. «God calls those things which are not (unseen) as though they were.» To affirm that I AM He (that which you desire) is to let in your savior.
Fixing the victory
Every desire is the savior's knock at the door. Every man hears the steady knock. A man opens the door to him when he says, I Am He. See that you let your savior in, allowing him to press upon you as desired, until you embrace the Present Present of your Savior and utter the cry of Victory: "It is finished."«
HE WHO HAS
The paradox of justice
“For whoever has, to him will be given, but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” Although many consider this statement to be the cruelest and most unjust of the sayings attributed to Jesus—creating a world among many popular observations such as: The rich get richer, and the poor have children; He who has, receives, etc.—it still remains the most just and merciful law, based on an unchanging principle.
The Impartiality of Divine Law
God is no respecter of persons. God, as we have discovered, is that unconditional awareness which gives to everyone that which they are aware of. To be aware of oneself or to have something is to be or to have that which you are aware of. On this unchanging principle everything rests. It is impossible for anything to be other than what it is aware of.
«To him who has (That which he realizes Being), It will be given»—good, bad, or indifferent. It does not matter what you realize—you will receive pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing with all that you realize. According to this immutable law: «From him who has not, It will be taken away and added to him who has.» So the rich become richer and the poor become poorer. Yes, He who has Receives.
The power of consciousness and harmony
You cannot express what you are not aware of. You cannot serve two masters. Your master is always the state of consciousness with which you identify. So what is not in consciousness is taken from it (because it was never a part of it) and added to the consciousness of which it is aware.
All things are drawn to that consciousness with which they are in harmony, and likewise all things are disentangled from that consciousness with which they are not in harmony. So instead of joining the chorus of the defenseless who insist on destroying those who have, acknowledge this immutable law of expression and consciously acknowledge yourself as who you have chosen to be.
The path to implementation
Once the decision is made and the conscious affirmation is confirmed, remain confident until you receive the reward. For as day follows night, you will receive what you have consciously accepted for yourself.
Thus, what is a cruel and unjust law to the sleeping orthodox world becomes for the enlightened the most merciful and just statement of truth. “I came not to destroy, but to fulfill.”
The fullness of being
Knowing that God destroys nothing, make sure that you are who you believe you are, who you want Him to fill completely. Nothing is destroyed. They are all filled.
CIRCUMCISION
The essence of a spiritual act
Circumcision is an operation that removes the veil that hides the head of creation. The physical act has nothing to do with the spiritual act. The whole world can be physically circumcised, but remain unclean and blind leaders of the blind. The spiritually circumcised have lost the veil of darkness and know themselves as Christ, the light of the World.
The mystery of the eighth day
Let me now perform a spiritual operation upon you, reader. This act is performed on the eighth day after birth. Eight, because eight is a figure that has neither beginning nor end. Furthermore, the ancients symbolized the number eight as a fence or curtain, within and behind which lay the mystery of creation.
Therefore, the mystery of the operation on the eighth day corresponds to the essence of the act, which is to reveal the eternal head of creation; that unchanging something in which everything begins and ends, and remains eternal when everything ceases to exist.
This mysterious thing is your awareness of being. At this moment you are aware of existence, but you are aware of being someone. This person is a veil that hides who you really are. First you are aware of being, then you are aware of being a person. After a human veil is placed over your faceless self, you become aware that you belong to a certain race, nation, family, religion, etc.
Breaking ties
The veil that must be lifted in spiritual circumcision is the veil of man, but before you do that, you must break the bonds of race, nation, family, etc. “In Christ there is neither Greek nor Jew, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female.” You must leave father, mother, brothers and sisters and follow me.
To achieve this, you must cease to identify yourself with these divisions, becoming indifferent to such statements. Indifference is the knife that cuts. Feeling is the bond that binds. When you can look at man as one great brotherhood without distinction of race, creed or color, then you will know that you have broken these bonds. Having broken these bonds, all that now separates you from your true essence is the belief that you are a man.
Lifting the last curtain
To remove this last veil, you must give up the idea of yourself as a man, simply knowing yourself as being. Instead of the consciousness "I AM Man," let there be simply "I AM"—the Faceless, Formless Awareness. Then, open and awakened, you will proclaim and know that—I AM God, and beside me, this awareness, there is no God.
The mystical meaning of foot washing
This mystery is told in the Bible story of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. It is recorded that Jesus took off his clothes, took a towel, and girded himself. Then, after washing the disciples« feet, he wiped them with the towel with which he was tied. Peter protested and was told that unless his feet were washed, he would have no part with Jesus. Peter replied, »Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.« Jesus answered and said, »He who has washed does not need to wash his feet to be saved, but is clean in every land.”
Common sense tells the reader that a person is not clean in the whole body just because his feet are washed. So he should either reject this story or look for its hidden meaning. Every biblical story is a psychological drama that takes place in the human mind, and this is no exception. This washing of the disciples' feet is a mystical story of spiritual circumcision or the revelation of the Lord's secrets.
Decoding symbols
Jesus is called the Lord. You are told that the name of the Lord is I AM (Je Suis). I am the Lord, that is my name (Isaiah 42:8). Jesus is bound with a towel, so his secrets are hidden.
- Jesus or Lord symbolizes your awareness of a being whose secrets are hidden by a towel.
- Towel — this is human consciousness.
- Leg symbolizes understanding ("Follow in his footsteps" - understanding) that must be washed away by the realization of the Lord from all human beliefs or ideas about oneself.
When the towel is removed to dry the feet, the mysteries of the Lord are revealed. In short, the disavowal of the belief that you are a human being reveals your awareness as the head of creation. Man is the foreskin that hides the head of creation. I am the Lord, hidden by the human veil.
CRUCIFIXION AND RESURRECTION
Astronomical and symbolic context
The events of the crucifixion and the resurrection are so intertwined that they must be explained together, for one determines the other. This mystery is symbolized on earth in the rituals of Good Friday and Easter. You will notice that these days are not fixed, but change from year to year. They last from the last week of March to the last week of April. The day is determined in this way. The first Sunday after the full moon in Aries is celebrated as Easter. Aries begins on March 21 and marks the beginning of spring. This movable date should prompt the observant to seek some interpretation other than the one given to him.
As seen from the earth, the Sun in its northern passage appears in the spring season of the year to cross the imaginary linear equator, which is called the linear. So the mystic says that he will be crossed or crucified so that man may live. They noticed that soon after this event all nature began to rise or be reborn after a long winter sleep, so they concluded that this disturbance of nature at this time of year was directly caused by this transition. Therefore they believed that the Son shed his blood on the Passover. If these dates marked the death and resurrection of Jesus, they would be fixed, like all other historical events, but they are not. However, these dates symbolize the death and resurrection of the Lord, but this Lord is your awareness of being. It is written that He gave His life that you might live - "I CAME that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly."«
The Spiritual Meaning of Spring
Since spring is the time of year when millions of seeds that have lain buried in the ground all winter suddenly open into view so that man may live, and since the mystical drama of the crucifixion and resurrection has the nature of this annual change, it is celebrated in this spring season of the year, but in reality it happens every moment.
- Crucifix — this is our awareness of being.
- Cross — this is your idea of yourself.
- Resurrection — is the elevation to visibility of this self-image.
Far from being a day of mourning, Good Friday should be a day of joy, for there can be no resurrection without a crucifixion. What needs to be resurrected in your case is what you desire to be. To do this, you must feel that you are what is desired. You must feel that I AM, for I AM the resurrection and the life. Yes, the I AM (your awareness of being) is the power that resurrects and makes alive that which you are aware of.
Mystical marriage and the act of creation
Two will agree to touch anything, and I will set it on the ground. The two agreeable options are You (your awareness) and that which you desire (what you have chosen to be, being aware of it). When this agreement is reached, the crucifixion is complete. The two have crossed or intersected with each other. I AM, and that which (desired) has joined. Now I REALLY understand the form of this.
The nail that fastens you to the cross is the nail of feeling. The mystical marriage is now consummated, and the result will be the birth of a child or the resurrection of a son who bears witness to his Father. Consciousness is bound to that which it is conscious of. The world of expression is the child that confirms this union.
State of Consciousness as Heaven
The day you cease to be conscious of yourself as you are now conscious of yourself, your child or expression will die and return to the arms of its father, the faceless, formless consciousness. All manifestations are the result of such mystical marriages. So the priests are right when they say that all true marriages are made in Heaven and can only be dissolved in Heaven.
But let me clarify this statement by saying that Heaven is not a locality but a state of consciousness. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. In Heaven (consciousness) God touches that which He is aware of existing. “Who touched Me? For I feel that virtue has departed from me. «The moment this sensation of touch occurs, there is an exit or going out of me into visibility.
Awareness of qualities
The day a person feels I AM FREE, I AM WEALTHY, I AM STRONG, God (I AM) has touched these qualities or virtues, and the results of such a touch will be seen in the birth or resurrection of tangible qualities. After all, a person must have visible confirmation of everything that he is aware of existing. Now you will understand why a person or manifestation is always created in the image of God.
Your awareness creates images and transcends all that you are aware of. “I AM the Lord, and there is no other God besides Me.” I AM the resurrection and the Life!
NO OTHER GOD
Rejection of external forces
“You shall have no other God before me.” As long as a man believes in powers other than himself, so long will he deprive himself of the essence that he is. Any belief in powers other than yourself, whether for good or evil, will become the form of the graven images that you worship.
Belief in the power of medicines to heal, diets to strengthen, money to provide—these are values or substitutes for money that must be cast out of the Temple. “You are the temple of the living God”—the Temple made without hands. It is written, «My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations, but you have made it a den of robbers.»
Thieves in the Temple of Consciousness
Your beliefs in the power of things are thieves who rob you. There is only one power, one Savior—I AM He. It is your belief in the thing, not the thing itself, that helps you. Therefore, stop giving your power to the objects around you. Consider yourself the power that you have in your ignorance to another.
Eye of the needle metaphor
It is easier for a camel burdened with the so-called treasures of life to pass through the eye of a needle (a small gate in the walls of Jerusalem, so named because of its narrowness) than for a rich man (a stubborn person filled with human values) to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Man is so filled with human values (riches) regarding the mind of things that he cannot, through such a dark veil as human wisdom, see that the only reason or value of anything is that all things perfectly express what they are conscious of. When man becomes conscious that the consciousness of a quality expresses that quality without the help of anything else, he becomes a poor man, an unwise man, who has no reason for anything other than what happens perfectly expresses what he is conscious of. This method has driven out the changelings of many values and has now created one consciousness of value.
The Lord in His Temple
The Lord is in His holy temple. Consciousness is in what it is conscious of. I AM a man — there is the Lord and His Temple. Knowing that the consciousness of wealth generates wealth, as the consciousness of poverty generates poverty, He forgives all people for who they are. After all, everyone expresses (without the help of another) what they are conscious of.
He knows that a change in consciousness will lead to a change in expression, so instead of sympathizing with the beggars of life at the temple gates, he declares, "Silver and gold I have none (for you), but what I have (the consciousness of freedom) I give you."«
Awakening the inner gift
Awaken the gift within you. Stop begging and accept yourself as what you have asked for. Do this and you too will leap from your crippled world into the world of freedom, singing the praises of the Lord, the I AM. “Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” This is the cry of everyone who finds the awareness of being as God.
Your awareness of this fact will automatically cleanse the temple of thieves and robbers and return to you power over the things you lost when you forgot the commandment: "You shall have no other God before me!"«
LET YOUR WILL BE DONE
True Humility and the Nature of Will
“Not my will, but thine be done.” This submission is not blind fatalism, but the enlightened realization that «I can do nothing of myself; the Father in me does the work.»
When a person wants this, he tries to make something appear in time and space that he knows does not exist at the moment. He is not aware of what he is actually doing. But what he is really doing is this: he consciously declares: "I do not have the ability to express this now, but in time I will have the ability." In short, I do NOT, but I will.
Man does not realize that consciousness is the Father who does this work, so he tries to express what he is not aware of. Such struggles are doomed to disappointment, because only the present expresses itself. If I do not realize myself to be what I am looking for, I will not find it.
Awareness as a completed work
God (your awareness) is the essence and fullness of all. God’s will is the recognition of what is, not what will be. Instead of perceiving this phrase as «Thy will be done,» perceive it as «Thy will be done» (done). The works are finished. The principle by which all things become visible is eternal. Even if «Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love the law.»
Metaphor of the sculptor
When a sculptor looks at a formless piece of marble, he sees that it is hidden within his formless self—his completed work of art. So, instead of creating his masterpiece, the sculptor simply reveals it by removing the part of the marble that hides his design.
The same is true of you. In your formless consciousness—I AM—lies all that you ever imagine yourself to be. The recognition of this truth will transform you from an unskilled laborer who tries to make it so, to a great artist who recognizes it so. Your affirmation that you are what you want to be will lift the veil of human darkness from its—“I will”—and reveal your ideal claim—I AM this.
The difference between “I AM” and “I WILL”
The will of God was expressed in the widow’s words, «All is well.» The will of man was, «All will be well.» To say I will be well is to say, «I am SICK.» God, the Eternal Now, is not mocked by words or vain repetitions. God constantly personifies that which is.
So the humility of Jesus (who made himself equal to God) went from acknowledging lack (which indicates the future with “I will be”) to acknowledging supply through the statement—I AM it. Now you will see the wisdom in the words of the prophet when he said, «Let the weak say, I am strong» (Joel 3:10). Man in his blindness does not heed the prophet’s advice, so he continues to call himself weak, poor, wretched, ignorantly claiming that he will be free from them.
The only door and the closure of feelings
There is only one door through which that which you seek can enter your world. When you say "I AM," you are declaring yourself in the first person, present tense. Again, to know that I AM is to realize that being consciousness is the only door.
Therefore, if you are not aware of yourself as that which you seek, you seek in vain. If you judge after the appearance, you will continue to be a slave to the evidence of your senses. To escape this hypnotic spell of senses, you are told, «Go inside and close the door.» The door of senses must be shut tight before your new claim can be fulfilled.
Closing the doors of the senses is not as difficult as it seems. It is done effortlessly. It is impossible to serve two masters at the same time. The master serves that through which he is aware of existence. I am the Lord and Master of that through which I am aware.
Practical application of the law
It is not difficult for me to cause poverty if I am conscious of my poverty. My servant poverty is compelled to follow me (Poverty Consciousness) as long as I AM (the Lord) am conscious of my poverty. Instead of struggling with the evidence of feeling, you simply claim to be what you want to be. When your attention is focused on this claim, the door of feeling automatically closes to your former master.
When you get lost in the feeling of being what you now call yourself, the door opens again, and you see your world expressing what you are aware of. So let us follow the example of Jesus:
- Realize that as a person you can't change anything.
- Close the door of your feelings and go to your Father (Consciousness).
- Denying the evidence of feelings, declare that you are who you want to be.
- Remain in the declared consciousness until the senses confirm the Lord's Authority.
Remember, I AM the Lord of all. Never again use the will of man who claims, “I will.” Be as humble as Jesus and say, “I AM.”.
BE EARS THAT HEAR
Protection of inner revelation
“Let these sayings sink into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.” Do not be like those who have eyes and do not see, and ears and do not hear. Let these revelations sink deeply into your ears. For after the son (idea) becomes manifest, man with his false values (mind) will try to explain the why and wherefore of the manifestation of the son, and thus tear him to pieces.
Once men agree that a certain thing cannot be done, let someone do the impossible—and everyone, including the wise who said it was impossible—will start telling you why it happened. Once they have completely torn the seamless mantle (the cause of manifestation), they will be as far from the truth as they were when they declared it impossible. As long as a man looks for the cause of expression elsewhere than in the expresser, he searches in vain.
Unity of cause and manifestation
For thousands of years man has been told, «I am the life and the light of the world.» “No manifestation comes to me unless I draw it out.” But man does not believe this, he prefers to believe in things outside himself. The moment that which is not seen becomes seen, man is ready to explain the reason and purpose for its appearance. Thus the Son of Man (the idea of manifestation) is continually being destroyed by the hands of man (the rational explanation or wisdom).
Now that your awareness is revealed to you as the cause of all expression, do not return to the darkness of Egypt with its many gods. There is only one God. The one God is your awareness. “And all the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing. And he does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, »What are you doing?’”
The power of consciousness over circumstances
If the whole world agrees that something is impossible, and you realize that what they have agreed cannot be expressed, you will express it. Your consciousness never asks permission to express what you realize. It does so naturally and effortlessly, despite the wisdom of man and the resistance of the armies of heaven and earth.
«By the way, greet no one» is not a command to be arrogant or unfriendly, but a reminder not to acknowledge a superior or to see anyone as an obstacle to your expression. For no one can stop your hand or question your ability to express what you consciously are. Do not judge by any appearance, for all are nothing in the eyes of God.
The path to solving problems
When the disciples saw a child who was insane, judging by his appearance, they considered him to be a more complicated problem than the others they had seen—and therefore could not find a cure. Judging by his appearance, they forgot that with God all things are possible. Mesmerized by the reality of appearance, they could not experience the naturalness of sanity.
The only way to avoid such failures is to constantly remember that your awareness is an Almighty, all-wise presence that easily surpasses what you are aware of without assistance. Be completely indifferent to the evidence of sensations, so as to feel the naturalness of your desire - and your desire will be fulfilled.
The embodiment of the invisible
Turn away from appearance and feel the naturalness of perfect common sense, and common sense will come into being. Your desire is the solution to your problem. When the desire is fulfilled, the problem is solved. Your desires are invisible realities that respond only to the commandments of God.
God commands the invisible to appear, calling himself what is commanded. “He made himself equal with God, and thought it not robbery to work the works of God.” Now: «Let this saying sink deeply into your ear» — BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU WANT TO APPEAR.
