FEELING IS THE SECRET
Preface
THIS book is devoted to the art of making your wishes come true. It gives you an explanation of the mechanism used in the creation of the visible world. It is a small book, but not an easy one. It contains a treasure, a clearly defined path to the fulfillment of your dreams.
On the brevity of presentation
If it were possible to convince another by reasoned arguments and detailed examples, this book would be many times larger in size. However, it is rarely possible to do this by written statements or arguments, since, in the opinion of the suspended judgment, it always seems plausible to say that the author was dishonest or deluded, and therefore his evidence was distorted.
A challenge to the reader
Therefore, I have deliberately omitted all arguments and evidence, and simply challenge the open-minded reader to practice the law of consciousness as shown in this book. Personal success will prove far more convincing than all the books that could be written on the subject. — NEVILLE
LAW AND ITS EFFECT
THE WORLD and everything within it is the conditioned consciousness of man, objectified. Consciousness is the cause, as well as the essence of the whole world. Therefore, it is to consciousness that we must turn if we want to discover the secret of creation.
Knowing the law of consciousness and how to apply it will allow you to achieve everything you desire in life. Armed with the knowledge of this law, you can build and maintain an ideal world.
Conscious and subconscious
Consciousness is the only reality, not in a figurative, but in a real sense. This reality can be compared for clarity to a stream divided into two parts - the conscious and the subconscious. In order to intelligently manage the law of consciousness, it is necessary to understand the relationship between the conscious and the subconscious.
- Consciousness: personal and selective; sphere of effect; male aspect.
- Subconscious: impersonal and indiscriminate; the sphere of reason; the feminine aspect.
The conscious mind generates ideas and puts them into the subconscious mind; the subconscious mind takes the ideas and gives them form and expression. According to this law—first by imagining an idea and then embodying it in the subconscious mind—all things proceed from the conscious mind. Without this sequence, nothing is created.
Mechanism of creation
The subconscious mind does not generate ideas, but accepts as true those that the conscious mind considers true, and in a way known only to itself, objectifies them. Therefore, man has control over creation through the ability to imagine and feel, as well as the freedom to choose an idea.
The subconscious is superior to reason and independent of induction. It regards the sensation as a fact existing within it, and on this assumption proceeds to its expression. The creative process begins with an idea, runs its course as sensation, and ends with the will to act.
The role of feeling
Ideas are impressed upon the subconscious mind by the means of sensations. No idea can be impressed upon the subconscious mind until it is felt, but once it is felt—whether good or bad or indifferent—it must be expressed. Sensation is the only means by which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious mind.
Therefore, a person who does not control their feelings can easily imprint unwanted states in their subconscious. Controlling feelings does not mean restraining or suppressing them, but rather disciplining your imagination and nurturing only those feelings that contribute to your happiness.
The law of a happy life
Never cherish unwanted feelings or think sympathetically about evil in any form. Do not dwell on the imperfections of yourself or others. By doing so, you imprint these limitations on your subconscious mind. What you do not want done to you, do not feel towards yourself or others. This is the whole law of a full and happy life. Everything else is just commentary.
Every feeling creates a subconscious impression and, unless it is neutralized by a more powerful feeling of the opposite nature, it must be expressed. Of the two feelings, the dominant one is expressed. “I am healthy” — a stronger feeling than “I will be healthy”. To feel “I will” — means to admit “I am not”; “I am” always stronger than “I am not”.
Feeling as a foundation
What you experience as existing («I am») always dominates what you would like to see («I would like to be»). So, for a desire to be fulfilled, it must be experienced as a state that already exists, not as a state that does not exist.
Feeling precedes manifestation and is the foundation upon which all manifestation rests. Be careful with your mood and feelings, for there is an inextricable connection between your feelings and your visible world. Your body is an emotional filter that carries the unmistakable hallmarks of your dominant emotions.
Emotional disturbances, especially suppressed emotions, are the causes of all diseases. Think with feeling only about the state you wish to realize. Feeling the reality of the desired state and life and acting on this conviction is the path to all apparent miracles. Changing feelings is changing destiny.
Consciousness and Creation
Chance or luck is not responsible for what happens to you, and destiny is not the author of your success or failure. Your subconscious impressions determine the conditions of your world. The subconscious always accepts as truth what you experience as truth.
You are already what you want to be, and your refusal to believe it is the only reason you don't see it. Looking outside for what you don't feel you are is futile, because we never find what we want; we only find what we are.
Having self-control over your thoughts and feelings is your highest achievement. However, until you achieve perfect self-control, use sleep and prayer to help yourself reach the desired states. These are two gateways to the subconscious.
SLEEP
SLEEP, the life that occupies a third of our stay on earth, is a natural door to the subconscious. It is about sleep that we will now talk. The conscious two-thirds of our life on earth are measured by the degree of attention we pay to sleep. Our understanding and joy from what sleep gives will make us go to it night after night, as if on a date with a loved one.
“In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, while slumbering on their beds; then He opens the ears of men and seals up their instruction.” (Job 33:15-16).
Interaction of the Conscious and Subconscious
It is in sleep and prayer (a state similar to sleep) that a person enters the subconscious to impress it and receive its instructions. In these states, the conscious and subconscious are creatively united. Man and woman become one flesh. Sleep is the time when the male or conscious mind turns away from the world of the senses to seek its beloved or subconscious "I".
The subconscious mind, unlike the woman of this world who marries a man to change him, has no desire to change the conscious waking state, but loves it as it is, and faithfully reproduces its likeness in the outer world of forms. The conditions and events of your life are your children, formed from the forms of your subconscious impressions in sleep.
“As in heaven, so on earth” (Matthew 6:10) Both in the subconscious and on earth.
Mood before bed
Whatever you have in your mind when you go to sleep is the measure of your expression for two-thirds of your life on earth. Nothing prevents you from achieving your goal except your inability to feel that you are already what you want to be, or that you already possess the thing you desire.
Your subconscious mind only gives form to your desires when you feel that the desire is fulfilled. You never draw from the depths of yourself what you want; you always attract what you are. To be fulfilled, desire must be translated into feeling. being, availability or testimony desired state.
Practical advice:
- Ask yourself the question: “How would I feel if my wish came true?”
- This feeling should monopolize your attention while you relax into sleep.
- You must realize yourself as who you want to be before you fall asleep.
The creative act of sleep
Lie on your back, head level with your body. Feel as if you already own your desire, and quietly relax into unconsciousness.
“He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4) However, “He gives sleep to His beloved” (Psalm 127:2).
The subconscious never sleeps. Sleep conceals the creative act, while the objective world reveals it. In a dream, a person imprints his idea of himself in the subconscious.
Awareness of success
Never go to bed feeling disappointed or dissatisfied. Never go to sleep feeling like a failure. Your subconscious mind sees you as you think you are.
- Ignore external circumstances.
- Feel that things are already the way you want them to be.
- To assume a feeling of pleasure is to create conditions that will reflect that pleasure.
“He calls that which is not as if it were” (Romans 4:17).
Free will and reaction
Your illusion of free will is only ignorance of the reasons that compel you to act. You consider yourself free because you have forgotten the connection between yourself (your state before sleep) and the event of the day. In reality, the awakened person is under compulsion to express his subconscious impressions.
Your only freedom is the freedom to react. You are free to choose how to feel and react to the drama of the day, but the drama itself—the actions, events, and circumstances—is already determined by your self-image when you fell asleep.
Conclusion
Falling asleep with a feeling of contentment and happiness causes circumstances and events to appear in your world that confirm these states of mind. Sleep is the door to heaven. What you have perceived as a feeling, you infer as a condition or object in space.
So sleep with the feeling of a wish fulfilled.
PRAYER
PRAYER, like sleep, is also an entrance to the subconscious.
“But you, when you pray, go into your room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” (Matthew 6:6).
Prayer is an illusion of sleep that reduces the impressions of the external world and makes the mind more receptive to internal suggestions. The mind in prayer is in a state of relaxation and receptivity, similar to the feeling achieved just before sleep.
Acceptance status
Prayer is not so much what you ask for, but how you prepare to receive it.
“Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you receive it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24).
The only condition is to believe that your prayers have already been fulfilled. Your prayer will certainly be heard if you accept the feeling that you would have if you had already achieved your goal. The moment you accept the desire as an accomplished fact, the subconscious mind finds the means to realize it.
Discipline of feelings
- A disciplined person: always perceives desire as an accomplished fact. It knows that consciousness is the only reality, and ideas and feelings are as real as objects in space.
- Undisciplined person: She finds it difficult to believe what is denied by her senses. She usually accepts or rejects something based solely on appearance.
Because of the tendency to rely on the evidence of the senses, it is necessary to «turn them off» before beginning prayer. When you are in a state of «I would like to, but I cannot,» the more effort you make, the less likely you are to give in to desire. You never attract what you want; you always attract what you perceive yourself to be.
The art of surrendering to desire
Prayer is the art of accepting feelings being and possession When your senses confirm the absence of what you desire, all conscious efforts to counteract this are futile—they only intensify the feeling of lack.
Important rules:
- Effortlessly: Prayer should be natural. In attempting to change the mood of the mind, efforts are fatal.
- Passive: It is necessary to create a state similar to daydreaming or meditation, where the mind easily turns away from the objective world.
- Conquest: It is the art of submitting to desire, not imposing it.
Relaxation technique
A simple way to create the necessary passive state is to relax in a comfortable chair or on a bed:
- Lie on your back, keeping your head at body level.
- Close your eyes and imagine that you are sleepy.
- Repeat to yourself: “I am sleepy, very sleepy, very sleepy”.
When you feel detached and lose the will to move, imagine that you have already achieved your desire. Imagine not the process, but the result. Feel that you have already achieved it.
Confidence in the final
Everything you could possibly need is already yours. You don't need helpers. Call your desires to life by feeling their reality.
Once you have a goal, you become indifferent to the possibility of failure. It's like being shown a happy ending to a play: you may not know exactly how the characters will get there, but you remain calm because you know the ending is perfectly set.
Spirit is Feeling
«Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts» [Zechariah 4:6].
Immerse yourself in the desired state by imagining the feeling that would be yours if you were already who you want to be. When you transfer the desired feeling to your subconscious, you are freed from all effort to "make" it happen, because it is already a fact.
Every idea in the human mind is associated with a certain feeling. Fix the feeling associated with your fulfilled desire, assuming that this would be your feeling if you already possessed what you desire, and your desire becomes objectified.
Faith as an inner state
Faith is not an intellectual assent, but a feeling:
«According to your faith (feeling) be it unto you» [Matthew 9:29].
You never attract what you want, but always what you are. As a person sees themselves, so they perceive the world.
«For whoever has, more will be given, but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him…» [Matthew 13:12].
What you feel like, you are; and you are given what you are. So imagine the feeling you would have if your wish had already come true, and it must necessarily materialize.
The Image of God and Self-Awareness
«So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him» [Genesis 1:27].
«"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God" [Philippians 2:5,6].
You are what you believe yourself to be. Instead of just believing в God or в Jesus - believe that you are the embodiment of this power.
Naturalness of action
The quote «He who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also» [John 14:12] actually means: «"He who believes as I believe, he will also do the works I do."».
It did not seem strange to Jesus to do God's works, because He realized Himself as one with the Creator:
«I and My Father are one» [John 10:30].
It is natural to do the things of who you think you are. So live in the feeling that you are already what you want to be—and you will become it. When a person believes in the value of this truth and applies it, he establishes within himself the reality of success.
